Japa & Postpartum Care

The initial one month after pregnancy is immensely laborious to the mother and requires intensive care for the baby. A Japa service is when you hire a caregiver to look after both the mother and baby when the baby is just born. The period lasts between 30 - 45 days and at times also extends.

​

After the delivery the mother and the baby are going through a vulnerable stage, and they need time to recover & regain their strength, hence it becomes quite significant to have someone dedicated to take care of them both. This not only helps the mother physically but also mentally research has shown that the chances of postpartum depression reduced by 65% in families where the new mom had good rest, support and regular massages.

What is included:

  • Massage of the Mother

  • Massage of the newborn baby with mother present

  • Cleaning babies room

  • Sponge bath baby with the mother present

  • Helping in dressing the baby

  • Fresh lite cooking for mother - As directed by mother

  • Laundry of the baby clothes

  • Bottle Feeding 

  • Burping

  • Changing daiper

  • Holding and soothing the baby

  • Helping in putting baby to sleep

  • Making babies bed

  • Our Japa care personal, is mindful of the traditional and cultural way of taking care of newborn baby and the mother and will work as per your guidance.

How Infant massage can change your baby's Brain:

  • At birth, baby's brain is only 25% developed

  • Babies who are massaged & touched have a grater connectivity in brain areas associated with social behavior.

  • Babies who had physical touch or regular massage showed increased mental development @ 6 months

Please note

  • Japa or Postpartum care in not the same as house help or kitchen help or cleaner. They are trained and experienced professionals who are there to take good care of the mother and the newborn.

  • They will only cook for the mother.

  • Booking for a minimum of 4 hours. Once booked in advance their is no cancelation. 

  • Deposit required.
